Safety

Health, Safety, and Environment

Health, safety, and environment (HSE) in construction are critical aspects that focus on ensuring the well-being of our employees. HSE is also important for safety in the surrounding area and for maintaining safe conditions for those who may be near the project site.

Safety as a Culture

The safety of our employees, our subcontractors, and our clients is a top priority. For a general contractor who self-performs work, our track record for safety performance is excellent. Safety is about our families, our co-workers, and our communities–it encompasses so much more than the project sites we work at daily. Safety is the health of our employees, as well as the correct approach to the environment in which we work.

Our formal safety program is managed by a dedicated staff that oversees the implementation of safety initiatives and continually works with field personnel to educate and enforce safety policies.

Every employee receives regular safety training, in addition to ongoing training related to our unique project sites. All field supervisors are CPR and First-Aid Certified. Safety instructions and rules of conduct are written into each subcontract, and our safety requirements are reviewed with each subcontractor prior to awarding contracts.

Serving employees, clients, and communities in the built environment requires a holistic approach that takes into account all of the stakeholders involved. By fostering a culture of social responsibility, we can contribute to the overall betterment of the community while completing our professional goals.
