Located in the heart of the Big Horn Basin in the rural, northern Wyoming town of Basin, this middle/high school includes an extensive CTE program.
Design in a contemporary educational vernacular, the Middle/High School is part of a larger K-12 campus, which is organized around a centralized courtyard that provides direct access from each building’s primary entry, as well as from shared commons spaces within each building. The school offers a full range of program spaces, including cafeteria, library, performance stage, and art and music classrooms. Additional program elements include a Career and Technical Education component, which includes a welding shop, a wood shop, an agriculture lab and a large business center. Funding was managed closely by the Wyoming School Facilities Department (SFD) and the local school district.
Every January, MOA gives out a “Contractor the Year” Award to recognize the firm’s most successful Contractor partner over the previous year. In acknowledgment of the team’s work together on the Riverside Middle/High School in Basin, WY, MOA recognized GH Phipps with this Award in 2019.
