GH Phipps Wyoming was hired as the Construction Manager At Risk. This project consisted of both commercial new and remodel construction. The existing fire station’s 4,800-square-foot living quarters/operations center was selectively demolished and re-built in conjunction with the addition of 14,000-square-feet of new office and sleeping quarters. Sustainability was kept in mind with the use of low VOC paints, white TPO membrane roofing, and much of the demolished material was recycled. The Heat Island effect was lowered as a result of using concrete paving in lieu of asphalt.
